The Farm to Preschool program at the Urban & Environmental Policy Institute at Occidental College (L.A.) is expanding and hiring for a new full-time position as Farm to Preschool Coordinator.

This position will work directly with the program manger, Zoe Phillips, who is currently Chair of the L.A. Collaborative. The L.A. Collaborative for Healthy Active Children is a dynamic partnership of over 150 organizations in the Los Angeles area who are dedicated to improving the health of children and families in LA County. The Collaborative strives to promote healthy eating, physical activity and positive lifestyles in underserved communities. You're invited to the first meeting of the year!

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS -

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in community food systems, public

health, community organizing or Early Childhood Education preferred

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Must have own transportation, be willing/able to travel occasionally throughout the

week, work some evenings and weekends as needed and be based in the Los Angeles area

• Experience with preschools/early childhood education is preferred

• Proficiency in Spanish is required

• Detail-oriented and well organized

• Self motivated, hard working and dependable

This is an 100% FTE position with a salary range of $34,000-$39,000 yearly ($17.16 -

$19.23/hour), commensurate with experience. We offer excellent health, dental, life and retirement benefits, including a generous paid time off program.
